From the moment I met with Meridith & Nate, the anticipation was killing me for their wedding at Shrine Mountain Inn in Vail, Colorado. I was just so excited!! Well before I ever attended photography school (or even before I picked up a digital camera for that matter) I was fortunate to attend a wedding at Shrine Mountain Inn as a guest. Awestruck is the only word I can find for my reaction when I first saw such an amazing location. It is just one of those spots that makes you remember how fortunate you are to live in Vail. Nate & Meridith are locals in Vail and I have known Nate for several years through mutual friends. Meeting and working with Nate & Meridith (and their handsome little son, Max) was like working with friends I had known forever. We share a common love for where we live, and why we live here that instantly connected us. Meridith was a true “DIY” kinda woman and put together such beautiful little details for all her guests. From the homemade peach jam as a gift, to the Polaroid collage that was built throughout the night with selfies of their friends and families, she really considered all things. With the location being so remote, the reception was run off of a generator and Meridith didn’t even hesitate to run out in her wedding dress to refill it with gasoline when it ran empty, which I had to stop and insist on doing for her :). While Nate & Meridith had officially tied the knot some time ago when they had their son together, their wedding celebration was a long time coming for them and their friends and family. I think it was well worth the wait!
Congratulations, Nate & Meridith! Thank you for having me on your amazing wedding day!
