Piney Lake Wedding | Vail, CO | Lindsay & Ben

Piney Lake weddings are always my favorite and Lindsay & Ben’s wedding is one that I have been waiting for all year. I met Ben many years ago through mutual friends when we worked together at the Vail Cascade. He was always light hearted, goofy, friendly and a very likable guy, but we never really got to know each other with working in different departments. When his family visited Vail, we got together for a family photo session and OMG…I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard in my life! Their sense of humor with one another is like they all just grew up being best friends and they are probably the most entertaining family that I’ve ever worked with. It was easy to see how Ben, became Ben.

After Ben & Lindsay met, they moved to Denver and I began to see on Facebook all of the adventures and trips they were experiencing together. It wasn’t long before I saw his proposal to Lindsay and I was immediately elated when they gave me a call about their wedding. When I finally met Lindsay for their engagement photos, I learned right away that these two are a match made in heaven. Lindsay is the perfect counterpart to Ben. She loves Ben’s sense of humor and is the cool, calm and collected one, to Ben just being a “chaotic weirdo” haha.

The wedding day was spectacular at Piney River Ranch and celebrating with these two and their families will forever be a night to remember. Lindsay organized everything with Sarah Viera (Sarah Viera Events) and it was completely flawless. Even with a little rain delay before the ceremony, Lindsay kept her cool while we dodged rain clouds and managed all of our photo times. Ben and the groomsmen didn’t seem to mind either as they just continued to play craps haha.

After the beautiful ceremony and their “I do’s”, they started a party that didn’t stop till the end of the night. It’s not often that I see the wedding guests dancing all at once and it’s even more rare when they are all dancing all night together! It was the perfect example of just how fun these two are and when Ben grabbed the mic and sang “Love Shack” to Lindsay on the dance floor, I almost forgot to take pictures from laughing so hard. I couldn’t be happier for this perfect pair and I am so honored to have been a part of such an amazing celebration.
