Michelle & Morgan’s Vail elopement kicked off my busiest wedding weekend ever, with three separate weddings in one weekend. It couldn’t have started better however than working with Morgan & Michelle. Michelle gave me a call a few months before her family only Vail elopement and her personality instantly struck a cord with me. I knew right away that they were my kind of people. With everything we talked about getting to know one another and hearing about her and Morgan, I remember her saying on the phone, “so we’re doing this wedding somewhere in Vail and we want you to make any kind of photos you want, but we want something amazing!” I always find that request hard to resist, so I kept it in mind as we talked about where, when and how she would plan her intimate Vail elopement. When she decided on Homestake Reservoir for the ceremony, I knew just the spots. After a beautiful and emotional ceremony, we were running short on time getting them back to Vail for dinner (and a whiskey stop beforehand). We managed to stop by a couple of the more “daring” locations that I have had in mind for quite a while. With wind gusts and high heels Michelle held on to Morgan tightly and they braved the cliff edge for what I hope to be, the amazing photos that she was looking for.
